This session will be an overarching discussion of the policy background behind the local plan and how resident engagement fits into it. Together, we will go over the planning process and try to understand what initiatives local planning authorities can undertake to better engage residents at each stage of the process. We will also examine a case study to understand how Havant Borough Council leveraged digital engagement tools to consult residents on a regulation 18 planning policy.
